2010 Central Suburban League
Inaugural Basketball Officials’ Clinics

Level 1 – Two-person Mechanics (IHSA Certified Clinic – meets all IHSA standards)   Ideal for those in their first few years of officiating. 

Clinic:           Four hour classroom / gymnasium session
                      Light dinner included
                      Cost = $60
Date:             Sunday, June 13 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Location:      Niles West High School Auditorium
Clinic Staff:  Randy Steen, State Clinician, State Final Official
                     Jeff Schwarz, Central Suburban League Assignment Chair   

Level 2 – Three-person Mechanics (IHSA Certified Clinic – meets all IHSA standards).  

Clinic:           Three hour classroom
                      Light dinner included
                      Cost = $70
Date:             Thursday, June 10 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m.
Location:      Niles West High School Auditorium
Clinic Staff:  Randy Steen, State Clinician, State Final Official

                     Steve Ramseyer, State Final Official, and others TBA.

Mandatory On-court Training / Evaluation:
Maine East Boys Sophomore Summer League:  June 16, 17, 22, 23, 29
Niles West Girls Varsity Summer League:  Mondays, June 14, 21, 28, July 5, 12

An IHSA-approved 3-Official Level II Basketball Officiating Clinic

Each clinic participant will officiate at least three games under the watchful eyes of highly-qualified clinic personnel. This is primarily an instructional clinic, and participants will receive extensive evaluation and commentary from experienced certified officials* and clinicians, both at halftime and post-game.

REQUIRED Classroom Session at Wheaton North High School, 6:00 PM, Wednesday, June 2, 2010.

The fee is $50. Only the first 110 officials to submit paid applications will be accepted. On-Floor scheduling will be done in the order in which applications are received, and will be posted on the ARBITER.

Level 2 Clinic (includes requirement of officiating three (3) Three-Person games)

Location:          Buffalo Grove High School
Classroom:      Thursday, June 17    6-10pm
Games:             Friday, June 18        3/4/5/6/7/8pm
                          Saturday, June 19     9am/10/11/Noon/1/2
Clinic Cost:  $50

Level 1 Clinic

Location:         Schaumburg High School  
Classroom:      Tuesday, June 15     6-10pm
Games:            Available on 6/16, 6/17, 6/23, 6/24, 6/30 and 7/1.
                         Officials will be observed. 
                         Officials WILL be paid for the games they work.  
Clinic Cost:  $50
